[You’re suddenly in an open, expansive room. It’s huge. If you’re familiar with the setting or have the ability to compare it to something similar, it’s like the interior of a church—pews surround you, all centered around an altar, and all of the normal religious paraphernalia—Bibles, baptismal tools, sacramental wine and bread—is present as well, in its expected place for a church or set up on a table before the altar. The area is for the most part so dark, however, that you cannot clearly see around you for farther than a few feet. It feels like nighttime, but, well, you can’t look beyond the shadows to spy the windows to know for sure...

In this deep darkness, the well-lit altar is like a beacon. Blazing candles encircle it, and you can perceive at least four human-shaped figures standing upon it. Are they alive? Watch long enough, and you’ll understand that they don’t move, shift, or even breathe.

Also, you are dressed like an angel. ( 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 ) Have fun!

You are directly in the middle of the central aisle, one that leads to the altar. What will you do?]

1) you are welcome to tag in at any time. this heart game will be running from december 10th to december 16th! please realize i have rl responsibilities and will not always be available to tag during the mornings/afternoons of every day, but in general i will be around.

2) my goal is to get everyone to at least one "room" outside of the church, but if that doesn't happen, it's okay! c:

[The woman looks happy. Really happy. Like she doesn't have a care in the world. A cloth eyepatch is pasted over one eye, but her other eye is basically closed in bliss. She's smiling—a soft, pleasant smile. Colored paint denotes all of this on her, although tiny lines do indicate a weary quality to her features.

Kirei looks like he is having a mental breakdown, silently. His eyes are open wide. His pupils are very small. His mouth is pressed closed tightly. That seems similar, doesn't it? You've seen something close to this before, but in real life.]

[She whistles, and it's a low sound that only drops in note as she searches Kirei's expression. Huuuh...]

Guess the king got it right in one go.

[That said, she pulls away, looking at the scenario pensively, looking around the room.]

Is he devastated because she killed herself?

[Up here, up by the bed, is illuminated as well as the circle of light from the candle provides. There's the nightstand, the bed, and the puppets. There are also darker corners to the room that the candlelight doesn't quite touch.]

[Checking the nightstand first, then the bed.]

[The nightstand just has a candle resting on it. If you check the drawer beneath the counter, it contains bottles of medicine, towels, bandages, and little clasps and adhesives for the bandages that either hold them together or hold them to the skin.

The bed is a simple bed. It looks comfy but also rather plain. There are enough covers to make anyone comfortable, but you can see how it would somehow not be enough to warm the rail-thin, sickly woman. Touching it evokes an aura of sickness, weariness, and impending death.]

[Does anything happen when she starts touching the things inside the drawer?]

[No.

You may simply feel resigned—satisfied but disgusted, and a little regretful—as you touch them, if you do it for long. Your fingers might mistake the softness of the bandages for the slickness of blood.]

[She's starting to notice a pattern here.]

Either Kirei or the King, but considering the church theme...

[She lets go. Huffing.]

All right, what am I supposed to solve this time?

[Well, the puppets have strings.

Can't puppets be moved? Isn't that the main appeal of puppets?]

[... Moving those puppets then.

Is she going to regret this?]

[It doesn't fill you with regret at all, touching them or moving them.]

[Okay then, let's try to pull Kirei away from the bed then.]

[You're lugging up Kirei.

He shifts smoothly as you guide him, rising from his knees with your force. His wooden ball joints make his limbs loose, but not so much so that he couldn't be positioned in another way.]

[Is he heavy? If not, she's seeing how far she can drag him from the bed to see what happens.]

[He is not that heavy.

You can pull him away as far as you wish. He'll leave the Wife's side at the bed.]

[Once she's done moving him, she goes to see about whether or not she can move the puppet on the bed. Assuming, of course, the feelings on the bed doesn't get to her first.]

[It's more of a background aura. You can fend it off if you concentrate.

The Wife will move just as easily as Kirei, however you wish.

Oh—! Be sure to watch the knife on the floor, though!]

[Is the knife doing anything?? Can she carry her bridal style and move her against a wall too?]

[It's just hanging out there, wherever you dropped it.

Yes, she can be carried and positioned a different way.]

[She'll just move them side by side then. Maybe try to pick the knife up again and try to drop that inside the drawer so she doesn't look at it.]

I don't get it. What am I supposed to be doing?

[Everything stays that way. Even the biting urge for suicide from the knife doesn't quite come back as fiercely.

You feel happy, though, especially if your eyes linger on Kirei and the Wife.

You could move them around again, or you can explore the darker corners of the room that the candlelight doesn't touch. Of course, you can also feel done.]

[She'll go check the darker corners. No point moving them again if she doesn't know where this is going.]

[There's nothing, really, in the corners of the room—nothing worthy of much note, anyway.

Ah, but in one of them, reclining over some dirty, misplaced sheets, is a naked puppet of Gilgamesh.]
